A summary of the discussions in December and January. Dear friends, for your convenience, I have compiled a small overview of some interesting moments of the debate. Hope this will be especially useful for new experts and those of our colleagues who can not follow the discussion permanently. We very welcome everyone who joins us at any time in respect of those turns of the discussion that I mention or any other that seems interesting to you and that you have something to say. So the first question and interesting discussion. Whether K2M project means uberization of medicine? Can it lead to a drop in the prices of medical services due to the fact that the patients from developed countries can choose foreign doctors for less money than they pay at home? Whether our esteemed client should go this way, risking to run into the opposition with the medical community? - this question is worth discussing. Here is an interesting observation that, perhaps the entire K2M platform needs to be built as entirely crowdsourced project. If you have something to say or suggest about this - the debate is still going on. The second question gives a scattering of ideas for the channels of monetization. It includes subscription fees for customers, earnings from advertising of partners of the platform, organization fees for consiliums, for monitoring medical diary of the patient and services for the forming of his medical records. If there is something to add to this list or to speak about one of these ideas - then move to question 2. In question 3 there were a lot of ideas for project partners in international organizations and companies creating and operating home diagnostic devices. To discuss these ideas and to help expand the list, please join the discussion of question 3. Question 4 is addressed to all of us as patients. What do we want to see on the platform, to become its customers? One of the ideas expressed is the management of pregnancy and the support of young mothers and babies after birth. Then there was the idea of information services to help the patient to plan treatment or rehabilitation with regard to selected recommendations for spas, resorts, places of sale of medication, etc. Still there was an active debate on services of a speech therapist. So far not too much. This is a key issue, because the commercial success of the project depends on how close the response received will be to the aspirations and expectations of ordinary patients. So we are waiting for new ideas. Then the fifth question is about international expansion. How will the project conquer the world? In fact, the discussion about the conquest of the world is very small, so there is a direct sense to continue it to come to understanding of the action plan. While the project began an active discussion on how K2M would respond to the numerous ethical challenges associated with remote provision of medical services. One of the solutions, resulted from the discussion is the creation by the platform of the ethics Committee with invitation of people with international moral authority. The sixth question was about marketing promotions. Actually there were no proposals about the actions so far (but we are waiting for them), but an important topic about the use of K2M in the fight against epidemics appeared there. The memory of the Ebola epidemic in Africa is still alive in the memory of all people, so this is a very important and relevant discussion. Well, the seventh question - again, a scattering of promising ideas and important discussions. I will just list: emergency psychological assistance, the use of the platform in remote areas and developing countries, the use of the platform by doctors as clients to receive advice from experienced colleagues, corporate banking services, criteria of clients selection and the preparation of their ratings. This is very important for the future of the project and throughout your opinion will be valuable. I could not list everything, so I apologize to those whose ideas I have not mentioned. However, the client sees all ideas and considers all of them. We invite all the experts, both old residents and beginners, to discuss important and interesting issues, initially raised and born in the course of our discussions and disputes about the project in the future of medicine - K2M.
