a) Historical park Historical park is the heart of Ekaterinburg.
In spring 1723 Peter I ordered to build the ironworks. In 1973 the museum-memorial complex was opened to coincide with the 250-th anniversary of the city. The area of the park is 8 hectares. The peculiarities of the area were taken into consideration when designing the park. The museum complex was built on the left side of the river, and the memorial one - on the right side. In the museum part there are historic buildings: the gates, the fragments of the fence on the upper terrace of the eastern part of the park. There is also an exhibition of ancient equipment of the XIX century of the Museum of architecture and industrial machinery of Ural . Now Historical park is the place where holidays are celebrated by local people and city events are held.
b) Ekaterinburg zoo
More than 70 species of animals which are included in the International Red-Book, Russian Red-Book and Red-Book of the Middle Ural are introduced in Ekaterinburg zoo. The Amur tiger, snow leopard, fossa cat, far East leopard, lion-tailed macaques, chimpanzees, Indian elephant, Steller's sea eagle, demoiselle crane, Moluccan cockatoo, Cuban crocodile, Indian Python, radiated tortoise, Madagascar tomato frog and other animals can be found in this zoo.
c) an outdoor observation desk on the 52 floor of the Vysotskiy skyscraper
This observation desk is located on the 52 floor of Vysotskiy business center at the height of 186 meters, where you can enjoy the picturesque scenery of Ekaterinburg. d) the obelisk №3 ~Europe-Asia~ on the Novo-Moskovskiy tract marking the boundary between Asia and Europe This obelisk was erected in 2004. It has the closest location to Ekaterinburg – 17 kilometers of the Novo-Moskovskiy tract, where bridal processions are usually held.
