German Parliament is one of the most distinguished buildings in Berlin. During the Kaiser's Germany and the Third Reich, German lawmakers worked there. They work there today too, but the name was changed from Reichstag to Bundestag - from the "imperial" assembly to "federal". Any Berlin tour begins with Reichstag which preserved the “Memory Wall” which is the world’s symbol of victory over fascism. Most of the inscriptions made by Soviet soldiers on the walls of Reichstag can be seen there to this day.
At the end of the 1990s, the building has become one of Berlin's main tourist sites. At the top under the glass dome a huge observation deck is placed, it welcomes tourists daily from eight in the morning until midnight.
